Welcome to my Blog

I am Christin Rose, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Los Angeles. There's nothing I love more than photographing the sweet stuff in life. I think of every client as a new friend and every wedding as a new experience. This is where I'll share those experiences and talk about all the beautiful people that I am Oh, SO lucky to photograph. Welcome to my world. Hope you enjoy!

It suddenly occurred to Kate & I last Tuesday night as we glittered and rhinestoned a few dollar store T-shirts at midnight. We only get to do this so many times, throw bachelorette parties that is. I'm so blessed to have as many amazing girlfriends as I do, but when one of the special girls gets married, you just got to do it up. : ) The weekend was filled with sunshine, palm trees, convertables, bachelorette poker, margaritas, rooftops, cowboy boots and true friends.
It reminded me how far we've came together and how much farther we have to go. The bride to be, Kelley, is the type of the person that just radiates joy. She said to me yesterday, "chris - you just got to be in the moment and enjoy it ya know - no matter what." Ahh, Kel you are so right and I couldn't be more excited for you, Matty & what the future has in store for you.
The whole weekend was a reminder of the blessings that surround us right here and right now.
I hope all my sisters find the love that Kel has and the celebrations only get better. love you girls.

A million 'thank you's' Chris...for all that you do! This was a weekend that I will never forget: time spent with my best friends talking about life, love and happiness. Laughing hysterically about things that aren't even funny. This photo collage about sums it ALL up :) I love it!

Emily and Chad are two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. They had no idea when they were kids in baseball uniforms that the love of their life was standing right next to them in team pictures. They met in t-ball, but it wasn't years later until they fell in love. I had the best time hanging out and taking pictures of them on a beautiful Medford morning. Congratulations you guys!! 9 years in the making and it's finally official - Smitty and Kel-Bel are tying the knot! To those of us lucky enough to have grown up with these two, it comes as no surprise that they end up happily ever after. They're the kind of couple that balances one another just right - they laugh often and love much. They are beyond special individually, two of the kindest people you will ever meet, but together I think they're some kind of an all-star team. : ) I've been lucky enough to watch them grow through the years into amazing young adults that i have no doubt will do big things. (I'm getting choked up guys and it's still 3 months until the wedding!) I love you both so much and can't explain how happy I am for you. September 17th, 2010 is a big one. Can't wait!

He built me a batting cage when I wanted to be a softball star. He bought me my first camera when I decided I was going to be a photographer. He listens to my crazy dreams, encourages me endlessly and since day one has given me the freedom to be me.

Through cassette tapes and a long ride from Idaho to Oregon when I was 10, he introduced me to the classics, to some of best friends - The Doobie Brothers, James Taylor, Don McLean, Jim Croce, America, and Fleetwood Mac. The older I get the more I need my dad, Jimmy P, to remind what life's really about. I needed him to tell me to trust my heart the day I decided to leave New York as much as I needed him to help me tie my shoe when I was three.  I need him in the middle of the week when I'm feeling restless to remind me to slow down as much as I needed him to drive around my high school parking lot with me a 100 times until I learned how to use a clutch. I need him to encourage my photography business right now as much as I needed him to buy my paintings at my fake store when I was 6. : )

I needed him to be my date to the Eagles at the Hollywood Bowl this year as much I needed to look up at nearly every single one of my softball games for 12 years and see him in the stands. Somewhere caught between endless wiffle ball tournaments, barbies, mustang rides, late nights on the back deck, Medford summers, Idaho to Connecticut, a lot of college football games, breakfast scrambles, Y ball, trips to the bagel man, & thousands of swings in the batting cage, my pop taught me it's about staying true to your word, putting your family first, living in the moment,  not giving up, being passionate about everything you do, listening to your heart, enjoying good Italian food, red wine and classic music.

This Father's Day I was fortunate enough to be dancing with my dad in a barn in Mt. Hood, Oregon at Matty's wedding. As I've grown up and moved away, we've found cool ways to team up and go on adventures. I could talk to my dad for hours and hours....and hours. Just ask my mom ; )   He's the most important person in my life, he's a dreamer and a shaker, in every since of the word - when I think something up, he tells me to go for it and has been there every last step of the way.  I look up to him and love his passion for story telling. He's the most enthusiastic person I talk to and reminds me constantly that while we can't change what happens to us, we always have control over our own attitude.

Thank you dad for traditions as simple and sweet as galamod on Christmas eve or singing God Bless America at the top of our lungs on the Fourth of July - when I think of my life and all its blessings, these are among the first that make my soul smile.

Here's to wearing your heart on your sleeve and telling the people you love how much you really do. Happy Fathers Day 2010

dailylove-.jpgI'm not sure why I hadn't discovered the daily love until this week, but it was just the boost I needed. Sign up for The Daily Love emails and Mastin Kipp (his twitter) with his endless inspirations will offer you sweet reminders of what the point of life is anyways. Waking up to his inspirations this week reminded me how important it is to seek wisdom from those before us and apply it to our daily lives. Often times we can get so caught up in work, relationships, problems and everything else life throws our way that we lose our balance - but in order to stay happy and content, we have to take the time to consciously think about who we are, what we want, how we're going to get there, and how to actively enjoy that ride. After feeling overwhelmed and tired last week, I decided to take a step back, flip through some old pages in my dream book and get back to the free spirit within myself - focusing on happiness and creativity. Quotes and words have so much power. Check the Daily Love site out and search for wise words on your own - it helped me this week to regain perspective. With that said, I'm putting on my pink cowboy boots and headed to a Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum Concert under the stars tonight.

Dance to your own beat. Enjoy the Ride.
